    Terms of Service

    1. Who you are contracting with

    LifeTrellis ("the Service") is operated by Kerestely Engineering Consultants SRL("we", "us"), a company registered in Romania, trading as LifeTrellis. By creating an account or using the Service, you are entering into a binding agreement with us.

    2. Acceptance

    By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and, if acting for an organisation, that you have authority to bind it.

    3. The Service

    LifeTrellis is a family management app that combines AI-powered allergen scanning, recipes, shared budgeting, errands, meal planning and calendar features. Features and availability may change over time.

    4. Accounts

    You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

    5. Acceptable use

    You must not:

    • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
    • upload spam, malware, or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
    • attempt to probe, scan, reverse engineer or interfere with the security of the Service;
    • scrape, mass-download or resell Service data;
    • use the Service to provide medical, dietary, or other professional advice to third parties without independent verification.

    6. AI features and accuracy

    Allergen detection and recipe suggestions are generated with the help of AI models and may be inaccurate or incomplete. LifeTrellis is not a substitute for medical advice. Always read the original product packaging and consult a qualified professional for allergy-related decisions. You are responsible for verifying outputs before acting on them, and for having the rights to any content you upload (e.g. product photos, recipes).

    7. Content moderation

    We may remove or restrict content, filter outputs, and suspend accounts that breach these Terms or applicable law. Repeated infringement of third-party rights will result in account termination.

    8. Intellectual property

    The Service, including its software, design and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for personal and family use within your plan. You retain ownership of your own content; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service.

    9. Payments, subscriptions and Merchant of Record

    Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal and cancellation mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via paddle.net or the in-app Settings page; access continues until the end of the paid period.

    11. Family group sharing

    A single Pro subscription covers up to 12 members of one family group. The subscriber is responsible for who they invite into their group. Members can see content shared into the group (budget, errands, calendar, shopping list, etc.).

    12. Service availability

    We do our best to keep the Service running smoothly but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law.

    13. Suspension and termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated/serious policy violations. You may close your account at any time from the Settings page. After termination, your data is deleted or anonymised as described in the Privacy Notice.

    14. Disclaimers and liability

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose). Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages (loss of profits, data, goodwill). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

    15. Indemnity

    You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

    16. Governing law and disputes

    These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. The courts of Romania have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

    17. Assignment, force majeure, changes

    You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email and take effect on the date stated.
